How does the working principle of the granulator differ from the traditional granulator method?

Pelletizer is a kind of equipment that forms granular materials through a series of processing processes. The working principle is obviously different from the traditional granulation method.



The traditional granulation methods mainly include wet granulation and dry granulation. Wet granulation refers to the addition of a certain proportion of liquid in powder or granular raw materials, in the process of mixing, stirring and wetting to make the raw materials into groups and increase the particles. Dry granulation refers to the direct processing of raw materials, through compression, cutting, grinding and other ways to form particles of raw materials.



The working principle of the granulator is mainly to form particles of raw materials through mechanical pressure or vibration force. Specifically, the granulator mainly includes a granulating chamber, granulating device, extruder, screen and other parts. After the raw material enters the granulation chamber, particles are formed in the granulation machine through the movement of a rotating drum or a rotating blade, and extruded and extruded in the extruder, and finally sifted and classified through the screen to obtain the finished particles with the required size.



Compared with the traditional granulation method, the granulator has the following obvious advantages and differences:


1, high work efficiency: The granulator adopts an integrated design, the raw materials in the loading room through the movement of rotating blades or rollers to achieve granulation, compared with the traditional granulation method, higher work efficiency, can process more raw materials in a shorter time.


2, good granulation effect: In the traditional granulation method, because the liquid in the raw material will be separated from the raw material during the granulation process, the particles are not easy to form or caking. The granulator adopts the dry granulation method, without adding liquid, avoiding the problem of incomplete particle forming, and the obtained particle shape is regular and the uniformity is high.


3, low energy consumption: In the traditional granulation method, wet granulation needs to evaporate liquid through heating and drying process, which will consume more energy. The granulator adopts dry granulation method, without heating evaporating liquid, low energy consumption, saving energy and operating costs.


4, easy to operate: the granulator has the characteristics of high automation and easy operation. Simply add the raw material to the charging chamber and set the operating parameters to automatically complete the granulation process without too much manual intervention.


5, wide range of application: granulator can handle a variety of different nature of raw materials, including chemical raw materials, pharmaceutical raw materials, pesticide raw materials, food raw materials, etc., with high adaptability and a wide range of application fields.
